Peter Lilliengren is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at Stockholm University. He works 60% at the university and 40% in private practice as a licensed psychologist, psychotherapist, and supervisor with a PhD in clinical psychology. He is affiliated with the Stockholm University research group for Process and Outcome in Psychodynamic therapies (SU-POP).
Dr. Lilliengren's research focuses primarily on process and outcome in psychodynamic therapy across various formats, including standard psychotherapy settings, internet-delivered treatment, and online psychotherapy. He has specialized expertise in Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP) and has led significant research in therapeutic mechanisms, attachment to therapist, and the efficacy of experiential dynamic therapy.
