Peter Lichter

Professor Peter Lichter serves as Managing Director of the National Center for Tumor Diseases (NCT) Heidelberg since 2020 and leads the Molecular Genetics Division at the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) since 1992. He is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Heidelberg, and coordinates international networks in cancer genome analysis and personalized oncology.

Research Focus: His work centers on cancer genomics and epigenomics, investigating tumor formation mechanisms, developing novel biomarkers, and advancing precision oncology. He has published over 500 original articles.
