Peter Leavitt is a Distinguished University Professor of Biology at the University of Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, holding concurrent roles since May 2024 and 2001 respectively. He previously served as Canada Research Chair in Environmental Change and Society (2003–2024) and as Professor at Queen's University Belfast (2018–2021).
Education: PhD in Biological Sciences (University of Notre Dame, 1984–1989), MSc (Queen’s University, 1981–1984), BSc (Queen’s University, 1977–1981).
Research focuses on limnology, climate change impacts, lake ecosystems, and environmental change.
