Peter Kolos

Peter Kolos is a Lecturer of Accounting and Business Law at Loyola University Chicago's Quinlan School of Business. He has taught at both undergraduate and graduate levels since 2014 and is also an instructor for Becker CPA Review. With over 15 years of professional experience, he previously owned and managed a real estate firm.

Education:

• MSA in Accounting, DePaul University
• BS from University of Illinois at Chicago

Research & Teaching Interests: Focuses on practical applications of accounting principles, auditing standards, tax strategies, and CPA exam preparation. Integrates real-world business examples from his career into classroom instruction.

• Graduate Teaching Excellence Award (Loyola University Chicago, 2021)

Advising & Leadership: Co-faculty advisor to Loyola's Audit Innovation Campus Challenge (AICC) team that won 1st place nationally (out of 54 teams) in 2021. Mentors students in career development and placement.
