Joan K. Moore is an Adjunct Professor of Accounting and Business Law at the Quinlan School of Business, Loyola University Chicago (2016–present). With over 30 years as a Federal government employee, she serves as a Supervisory Investigator in the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Chicago, specializing in fraud prosecution across Federal programs. Her teaching integrates decades of professional experience, emphasizing practical applications of accounting ethics and fraud investigation.
Education: MBA in Accounting (Keller Graduate School of Management, Chicago, IL), BS in Accounting (Western Kentucky University, Bowling Green, KY).
Research & Teaching Focus: Financial Fraud prevention, leadership development, and professional communication. Courses include Auditing (ACCT 409), Fraud Investigation (ACCT 399), Forensic Accounting, and Ethics in Accounting. She also leads Becker CPA Review courses.
Awards & Affiliations: Holder of multiple certifications (CPA, CFE, CGFM, CGMA) and Toastmasters International distinctions. Active in professional organizations like AICPA, ACFE, and the John Maxwell Team. Recognized with awards for integrity, excellence in education, and leadership.
Professional Experience: Taught at multiple institutions including VanderCook College of Music (Public Speaking, 2013–present) and previously at Keller Graduate School (Adjunct Professor, 2006–2016). Served as Becker CPA Senior Faculty (2000–present).
