Peter Klepec

Peter Klepec is a Professor at the European Graduate School and serves as a Research Advisor at the Institute of Philosophy ZRC SAZU, Ljubljana. He holds a PhD from the University of Ljubljana (1998) under Slavoj Žižek, with further studies at Université Paris VIII (1999, 2003-2004). His academic career includes teaching roles at the University of Maribor, University of Ljubljana, University of Primorska, and collaborative work with the Worker’s & Punker’s University of Ljubljana.

His research focuses on French contemporary philosophy (Badiou, Deleuze, Rancière), German Idealism (Kant, Hegel), and Lacanian psychoanalysis. Key publications include The Emergence of the Subject (2004), Capitalism and Perversion series (2008, 2019), and edited readers of Žižek and Mladen Dolar’s works with comprehensive conceptual dictionaries.

Klepec has held editorial roles since 1990 at Problemi and as editor-in-chief of Filozofski vestnik. Notable projects include compiling the first Slovene Žižek reader (Začeti od začetka, 2010) and editing Mladen Dolar’s conceptual anthology (2012).
