معرفی
Peter Jezzard is the Herbert Dunhill Professor of Neuroimaging at the University of Oxford, affiliated with the Department of Clinical Neurosciences and the FMRIB/WIN Physics Group. He also holds leadership roles at the University College and the Oxford-Nottingham Centre for Doctoral Training in Biomedical Imaging.
His research focuses on MRI physics and methods development, particularly for studying brain neurovasculature, acute stroke, and small vessel disease. He advances ultra-high field imaging via a 7-tesla scanner and develops spectroscopic techniques for neurotransmitter measurement.
Recent work highlights trends in deep learning for MRI reconstruction, super-resolution imaging, and multimodal neurovascular mapping. These studies often integrate clinical collaborations with neurology and psychiatry departments.
Scientific awards include:
- FInstP (Fellow of the Institute of Physics)
- CPhys (Chartered Physicist)
He leads the FMRIB Physics Group and collaborates with the Acute Vascular Imaging Centre (AVIC) and Oxford Biomedical Imaging Network.
