Antoine Cherix

Antoine Cherix is a Research Fellow in Preclinical Neuroimaging at the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences, University of Oxford. He works at the Wellcome Centre for Integrative Neuroimaging (WIN), specializing in Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (MRS) and Imaging (MRI) of rodent brains using ultra-high field scanners. His research explores how energy metabolism affects brain function and behavior in psychiatric disorders.

His PhD at EPFL (Switzerland) focused on environmental and genetic influences on brain energy metabolism in mood disorder models using 14.1 Tesla neuroimaging. Current work combines imaging, behavioral, and molecular experiments to study neuroenergetic mechanisms.

His publications focus on neuroenergetics, psychiatric disorders, and neuroimaging techniques, with recent studies on CREB coactivators, glucose metabolism, and mitochondrial dynamics in animal models.
