Peter Jankowski is an Associate Professor of Marriage and Family Therapy at Bethel Seminary, part of Bethel University. He also holds a position in the Counseling program within the Graduate School. He began his role at Bethel in 2004 and has over 20 years of clinical experience across diverse settings, including community agencies, detention centers, congregations, residential facilities, and university clinics. Jankowski is a MN Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and holds supervisory approvals for LMFT, LADC, and LPCC licenses.

Research focuses on differentiation of self, spirituality, positive psychology, psychotherapy effectiveness, faith integration in therapy, narrative/experiential therapy, and clinical supervision. Recent work explores virtue ethics, resilience among religious leaders, and the impact of spirituality on well-being. Publications emphasize practice-based studies and mixed-methods approaches, addressing topics like humility, social justice, and pandemic mental health.
