معرفی
Peter J. Deuss is an Associate Professor at the University of Groningen, affiliated with the Faculty of Science and Engineering and the Chemical Engineering Department. His research focuses on catalytic technologies for converting sustainable resources like lignin and waste plastics into bio-based chemicals, aligning with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
- Education:
- BSc/MSc in Chemistry (University of Amsterdam, 2006)
- PhD in Catalysis (University of St Andrews, 2011)
- Postdoc in catalytic lignin valorization (University of Groningen, 2013–2015)
His work combines catalysis, chemical analysis, and reactor design to advance carbon circularity. Key projects include lignin modification, plastic recycling, and biorefinery technologies. Based on his recent articles, he explores ionic liquids, homogeneous catalysis, and biomass fractionation.
Scientific awards:
- Green Chemistry Outstanding Reviewer Recognition (2019)
Collaborations and grants include Horizon 2020, NWO-XL, and EFRO projects. He is actively involved in public engagement and academic presentations on topics like lignocellulose conversion and chemical recycling.
