Dr. Peter Hanlon is a Clinical Senior Research Fellow in General Practice & Primary Care at the University of Glasgow. His research focuses on quantitative methods to address health needs and clinical management of individuals with multiple long-term conditions and frailty. He holds a Medical Research Council Clinical Research Training Fellowship exploring frailty's impact in chronic illness.
Education: MBChB from the University of Edinburgh (2011), MSc in Internal Medicine (2015), and memberships in the Royal College of Physicians. He completed clinical training in General Practice (2018) and holds diplomas in Geriatric Medicine, Child Health, and Obstetrics/Gynaecology.
Research Interests: Frailty, multimorbidity, polypharmacy, and chronic disease management, with a focus on UK Biobank data. His work addresses frailty's role in treatment efficacy, socioeconomic factors, and clinical outcomes in diverse populations.
Key Collaborations: Part of the SCREDS Clinical Lecturer program, collaborating with teams studying multimorbidity and treatment burden. His work spans COPD, rheumatoid arthritis, and stroke survivor studies, emphasizing trial representativeness and subgroup analysis.
