معرفی
Peter Guiden is an Assistant Professor of Biology at Hamilton College, where he studies community ecology with a focus on plant-animal interactions and human impacts on ecosystems. His work examines seed dispersal, invasive species effects, and climate change consequences through empirical research and classroom engagement.
- Education: Ph.D. in Integrative Biology (University of Wisconsin-Madison), M.S. in Botany (Miami University), B.A. in Biology (Wabash College)
Guiden’s research explores how invasive plants disrupt species interactions, consumer roles in restored ecosystems, and winter climate change impacts. His recent publications highlight seed dispersal mechanisms, behavioral adaptations under environmental stress, and ecological restoration strategies.
His scientific awards include an NSF Doctoral Dissertation Improvement Grant (2017), NSF Novel Ecosystems IGERT Trainee (2015), and a Teaching Fellowship at UW-Madison (2019). Guiden actively mentors undergraduates in biodiversity conservation projects.
- Professional Affiliations: Ecological Society of America, American Society of Mammalogists (Grants-in-Aid committee member)
