Peter Green

Peter Green serves as Deputy Laboratory Director for Science & Technology at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), where he shapes research strategy, strengthens core capabilities, and oversees the Laboratory Directed Research and Development Program, NREL-university collaborations, and postdoctoral recruitment.

Green has received three major honors, including the U.S. Department of Energy’s Secretary of Energy Achievement Award (2020, 2023) and the Cornell University Distinguished Alumni Award (2022). He serves as Editor-in-Chief of MRS Communications and holds fellowships in the American Physical Society and Materials Research Society.
