Peter F. Pope is Senior Professor of Accounting at Bocconi University, having previously held positions at London School of Economics and University of Liverpool. An award-winning scholar, he received the Anthony Hopwood Award (2024) and BAFA Distinguished Academic Award.
His research examines financial statement analysis for value investing, equity risk assessment, and regulatory impacts on corporate information environments. Published extensively in top accounting journals, he serves as senior editor for Journal of Business Finance and Accounting.
Professor Pope is Academic Coordinator for INQUIRE Europe and consults for investment firms. His recent work analyzes analyst forecasting behavior, private equity valuation, and governance mechanisms in family firms. Educational background includes PhD from Lancaster University and BCom from Liverpool.
