Professor Anne Wyatt holds a First Class Honours degree with University Medal and a PhD from University of Technology Sydney. She is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and a Graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Currently serving as Professor of Accounting at Deakin Business School, she leads research in intangible assets, financial reporting, and corporate governance. Her roles include Associate Editor of the Journal of Business Finance and Accounting and board memberships with multiple journals.
Her research spans accounting for intangible investments, technological innovation impacts, and capital markets. Notable contributions include studies on IPO prospectus disclosures and financial analyst behavior. Anne has led major projects like the CA Foundations initiative at Deakin, involving cross-functional collaboration across 150+ staff members. She has secured $9.7M+ in external grants, including partnerships with the Institute of Public Accountants and KPMG.
Recognition includes the Peter Brownell Manuscript Award (2007), Chancellors List for PhD excellence (2002), and sustained top 10% SSRN author rankings. Her teaching focuses on employability-driven pedagogy in financial accounting, with specialization in financial statement analysis and equity valuation.
