Peter F. Orio

Peter F. Orio is an Associate Professor of Radiation Oncology (Part-Time) at Harvard Medical School and Chair of the Department of Radiation Oncology at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. He previously served as Vice Chair of Network Operations for Radiation Oncology at Dana-Farber for ten years, focusing on clinical standardization and staff mentoring.

• Education: Bachelor's degree from College of the Holy Cross, Master's in Public Health from University of Massachusetts Amherst, Medical Degree from University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine

Dr. Orio specializes in genitourinary malignancies, prostate brachytherapy, and prostate cancer. His research interests align with radiation oncology, cancer research, and medical physics. He has been affiliated with Dana-Farber Brigham Cancer Center since 2010.

• Military Service: Assistant Chief of Radiation Oncology at Brooke Army Medical Center, Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army, with leadership training and Meritorious Service Medal recognition

He is a past President of the American Brachytherapy Society and former RUC member for the American Society of Radiation Oncology.
