Peter Dowd

Professor Peter Dowd is a faculty member in the School of Chemical Engineering at the University of Adelaide, specializing in geostatistical and geological modelling. He holds a Professor rank and is affiliated with the Mining and Petroleum Engineering department. His research focuses on geostatistical applications in mineral resources, petroleum reservoirs, and environmental systems, including stochastic risk assessment and optimal mine design. He has contributed to commercialized software like MINVEST and GeostatWIN, developed in collaboration with the Universities of Adelaide and Leeds.
