معرفی
Christopher White is a Research Professor at the School for the Environment at the University of Massachusetts Boston. His expertise lies in geostatistics, reservoir engineering, geochemistry, and numerical modeling of fluid transport in porous media, with applications in geothermal energy, oil and gas dynamics, and environmental systems.
White earned his PhD and MS in Petroleum Engineering from Stanford University and a BS in Petroleum and Geological Engineering from the University of Oklahoma. His career includes industry roles at Shell Research and Development, academic positions at The Bureau of Economic Geology (University of Texas at Austin), and over a decade as faculty at Louisiana State University.
His research focuses on geostatistical modeling, reactive transport in groundwater systems, and optimization of energy recovery from geothermal and hydrocarbon reservoirs. Recent publications highlight critical zone evolution, trace element behavior in aquifers, and advanced reservoir simulation techniques. White's work bridges petroleum engineering principles with environmental geochemistry and hydrology.
