Peter Dickinson is an Associate Professor at the Institute for Employment Research (IER) at the University of Warwick, where he joined as a Senior Research Fellow in 2017. His research spans the entire learning and skills agenda, with particular expertise in local labour markets, productivity, and inclusive growth.
Dickinson specializes in the intersection of skills development and economic outcomes, with research covering schools, further education, higher education, alternative provision, pupils and young people with SEND, apprenticeships, green skills, digital skills, NEET issues, financial and pastoral support, employer co-funding, employability and transferable skills.
