Peter Dennee is Professor of Music at Carthage College and Director of the African Studies Program, where he has taught music education, education courses, and general curriculum since 2005. His office is located in Johnson Arts Center 131.
His academic qualifications include:

- Bachelor of Arts, Carthage College (Class of 1986)
Prof. Dennee's research focuses on Music Education, Choral Music, and African Music Studies, with extensive fieldwork in Tanzania (2021 Fulbright Scholarship) and long-term collaboration with Namibia's Oonte Center for Orphans since 2010. His work integrates community engagement through choral programs and cross-cultural musical exchange.
His recognition includes:
- Fulbright Scholar award for teaching and research in Arusha, Tanzania
As a conductor, he led Carthage Treble Choir, Carthage Chorale, and Lincoln Chamber Singers on international tours across Central Europe, China, and Tanzania, performing at state and national conferences. He serves as associate editor for the "Voices in Concert" choral textbook series (2016) and actively composes, arranges, and conducts as a clinician.
