Peter Dendooven is a Professor affiliated with the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG) in the Faculty of Medical Sciences, Department of Personalized Cancer Treatment (PCT). He previously held a Professor position at the Helsinki Institute of Physics (2015–2019). His research focuses on medical physics, radiation therapy, and nuclear imaging, with notable contributions to proton therapy verification using PET imaging and nuclear fuel analysis.
Research interests include advanced imaging techniques, radiation detection, and computational modeling for cancer treatment and nuclear energy applications. His work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals related to health and innovation.
