Peter Conti-Brown

Peter Conti-Brown is the Class of 1965 Associate Professor of Financial Regulation at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a Nonresident Fellow at The Brookings Institution. His work bridges legal studies, financial regulation, and political history, focusing on central banking, the Federal Reserve, and the intersection of law, ethics, and finance.

• Education: PhD in History from Princeton University (financial and political history subfields), JD from Stanford Law School, AB from Harvard College (magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa)

Research Interests: Administrative law, central banking, financial history, political history, and public finance. His scholarship explores the Federal Reserve’s governance, monetary policy, and the political economy of financial regulation.
