Peter Busch is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Computing at Macquarie University, and serves as the Faculty of Science and Engineering chair of the Human Research Ethics (HREC) sub-committee. His academic journey spans diverse fields including geography, librarianship, and information systems. He holds a PhD in Knowledge Management from Macquarie University, alongside multiple advanced degrees in information systems and librarianship from institutions like the University of Sydney and Monash University.
His research focuses on knowledge management, organizational learning, and human capital, with an emphasis on tacit knowledge diffusion, workflow optimization, and technology adoption in industries like manufacturing and healthcare. Notable projects include leveraging social network analysis for emergency management and exploring mobile-based systems in Bangladesh’s RMG sector.
Busch has authored over 130 publications, spanning topics from AI-driven knowledge management to workplace nomophobia. His work frequently addresses gaps between education and industry needs, such as misalignments in IT curricula and employability skills. Recent studies include predictive modeling for disease management and frameworks for remote team productivity.
