Peter Baumann

Peter Baumann is the Charles and Harriett Cox McDowell Professor of Philosophy and Religion at Swarthmore College, serving as Department Chair of Philosophy. His academic affiliations extend beyond the Philosophy Department to German Studies, Cognitive Science, and Linguistics. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Göttingen in Germany.

His research focuses on epistemology, philosophy of mind, practical philosophy, history of modern philosophy, and contemporary analytical philosophy.
