Professor Peter Attema
Professor of Mediterranean Archaeology at the University of Groningen's Faculty of Arts, specializing in Landscape and Survey Archaeology in the Mediterranean, Protohistory of Italy, and early urbanization. Current roles include Head of the Department of Archaeology, Director of Studies for the research master's program in Art History and Archaeology, and member of the Management Team of the Groningen Institute of Archaeology.

Recent work emphasizes salt production, coastal exploitation, and multidisciplinary approaches to archaeological sites like Piscina Torta (Rome).
