Pete Taylor is a Professor in the Department of Sociology at Colorado State University (CSU), specializing in natural resource and environmental sociology. His research focuses on water governance, environmental policy, and community-based resource management in Latin America and the U.S. He holds a PhD from Cornell University, with additional degrees from Trinity University and Cornell.
Key research areas include agricultural water issues in the Colorado River Basin, transboundary environmental governance, and socio-ecological adaptation to climate uncertainty. Taylor has extensively studied community forestry organizations in Guatemala, Mexico, and Bolivia, analyzing organizational resilience and policy impacts.
