Persis Berlekamp is Associate Professor of Art History at the University of Chicago. Her research examines medieval Islamic art within intellectual debates about cosmology, wonder, and cross-cultural exchange.
Current projects analyze Islamic talismans and a 14th-century Persian manuscript on Chinese medicine. She serves on the executive committee of the Center for Middle Eastern Studies.
