Perica Savanović serves as Professor and Lecturer at the School of Built Environment, Inholland University of Applied Sciences, leading the Lectorate Built Environment since November 2022. His work addresses the Climate Agreement mandate to disconnect 7 million homes and 1 million buildings from natural gas by 2050 through integrated design and participatory creation methodologies.
He holds an Architecture degree from Delft University of Technology and a PhD from Eindhoven University of Technology focused on integrated design. Professional experience includes architectural practice at Broekbakema, research at TNO Bouw, and implementation roles at Stichting Bouwresearch (SBR) and Utrecht University.
Research centers on breaking down construction industry silos to enable multidisciplinary collaboration across design, technology, and social sectors. His participatory creation approach engages end-users and stakeholders in developing practical sustainable solutions for resilient urban environments, emphasizing circular construction and energy transition scalability.
Publication analysis reveals consistent focus on The Hague's energy transition projects, digitalization of construction processes, and integrated design frameworks. His work demonstrates evolving methodology from municipal case studies (2021) to digital collaboration tools (2024), highlighting cross-sectoral partnerships as critical for accelerating building decarbonization.
As chair of the National Lecturers Platform for the Built Environment (NL-GO), he coordinates fourteen universities of applied sciences. He actively disseminates research through podcasts (Sparkmakers, Onderzoekers over de Toekomst) and industry workshops for Koninklijke NLingenieurs and BNA.
