Pere Palou Sampol

Dr. Pere Palou Sampol is a Full Professor at the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB), affiliated with the Department of Physical Education and Sports within the Faculty of Education. He currently serves as the Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Education. His expertise spans Physical Education, Pedagogy, Sports Science, and Nutrition.

Education:

• Bachelor in Physical Education from the University of Barcelona
• PhD from the University of the Balearic Islands
• Masters in Nutrition and Food Quality, Physical Rehabilitation and Sports Injury, Sports Performance, and Management of Sports Facilities

Research & Professional Contributions: A member of the Physical Activity and Sport Sciences Research Group, he has led the Sports and Physical Activity Service at UIB from 1984 to 2015. He has participated in over 100 international conferences, 15 research projects, and authored over 100 articles, book chapters, and books. His work focuses on didactics in physical expression, sports performance optimization, and injury prevention.
