Per Svenningsson is a Professor of Neurodegenerative Disorders at King's College London, based in the Department of Basic & Clinical Neuroscience within the School of Neuroscience. He leads a laboratory at the Karolinska Institute and is a member of the Nobel Assembly awarding the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. His research focuses on the molecular and cellular basis of Parkinson’s disease and related disorders, emphasizing biomarker discovery, patient stratification, and neuropharmacology to address motor and non-motor symptoms like dementia.
