Per Pettersson Löfquist is a Senior Lecturer in Tourism Studies at Linnaeus University, affiliated with the School of Business and Economics and the Department of Marketing and Tourism Studies. He leads the Tourism Studies degree program and is involved in research projects such as InKuiS (Innovative Cultural Entrepreneurship in Collaborative Co-creative Research Thinking) and studies on well-being tourism and the role of art in the visitor economy.
His research focuses on tourism industry composition, global and local impacts, and case studies like tourism development on Zanzibar, Tanzania. Key publications include analyses of managerial responses to the pandemic and post-pandemic tourism strategies. He is part of the Tourism Research Group and collaborates on interdisciplinary initiatives linking cultural entrepreneurship and tourism innovation.
