Dr. Penny Tenuto is Associate Professor of Educational Leadership in the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences at the University of Idaho. Her research examines ethical leadership, democratic professional practice, and inclusive educational environments across diverse learning contexts.

- M.Ed. in Educational Administration, University of Idaho (2002)
- B.A. in French, University of Idaho (1983)
Research interests center on ethical decision-making frameworks for educational leaders, multicultural education practices, and innovative models for democratic professional development. Current investigations focus on creating supportive communities in alternative school settings and promoting inclusivity in online learning environments.
Publications demonstrate consistent focus on ethical leadership praxis, with recent work examining global education challenges and Indigenous education frameworks. Methodologies frequently employ case studies and integrative literature reviews to develop practical leadership models.
