Penny Herscovitch

Penny Herscovitch is an Associate Professor and co-owner of PadLab, a studio focused on lighting, new materials, architectural glass, and fine art. She holds academic roles at multiple institutions, including SCI-Arc, Woodbury University, the Pasadena Museum of California Art, and Materials & Applications Gallery. Her teaching spans courses in illumination design, spatial experience design, and urban aesthetics, such as 'Illumination: Lighting' and 'Tastemaking LA Studio.'

Her research and creative work bridges art, architecture, and environmental design, emphasizing material innovation and spatial experience. PadLab serves as a core platform for her experimental projects in architectural lighting and interdisciplinary collaborations.
