Penelope Shumate is an Associate Professor of Voice and former Director of the Opera Workshop at Austin Peay State University. A celebrated soprano, she specializes in vocal performance and pedagogy, with extensive engagements across opera, concert performances, and recordings. Her career includes over 20 soloist appearances at Carnegie Hall and collaborations with orchestras worldwide.
