Penelope Mosavian is an Assistant Professor/Director of Studies in the Department of Applied Linguistics at the University of Warwick. She holds dual roles overseeing Short Courses and previously served as Assistant Director of Studies for the Warwick Pre-sessional English Course. With 35 years of EFL/EAP/ESP teaching experience, her expertise spans teacher training, educational technology, and curriculum design. She has led initiatives in Iran, the Canary Islands, and across China through British Council collaborations.
Her research focuses on intercultural skills development, technology-enhanced learning, and teacher professional development in challenging contexts. Notable projects include Video in Language Teaching (2016-2018) and multiple China-based teacher training programs (2018-2023). She has published extensively on English language teaching challenges in rural China and innovative pedagogical methods.
