معرفی
Pelin Guven Geredeli is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences at Clemson University, part of the College of Science. Her research focuses on the analysis and numerical simulation of fluid-structure interaction (FSI) systems, particularly involving partial differential equations (PDEs) modeling vascular blood flow, aircraft, bridges, and robotic systems. She develops methodologies for wellposedness, stability, and asymptotic decay analysis using dynamical systems theory, pseudodifferential analysis, spectral analysis, and finite element methods (FEM). Her work is funded by multiple National Science Foundation (NSF) grants, including NSF-DMS-2206200, NSF-DMS-1907823, and NSF-DMS-1616425.
Her research interests include both theoretical and computational aspects of PDE systems, with a focus on multilayered structures, structural acoustics, and aeroelasticity. She derives mixed variational formulations for FEM to ensure rigorous convergence analysis. Recent work emphasizes numerical methods for null controllers in structural dynamics and resolvent criterion approaches for stability analysis. She has contributed to special issues on applied analysis and presented at conferences such as the AMS Spring Southeastern Sectional Meetings.
Notable contributions include studies on exponential stability of compressible flow-structure systems, spectral analysis for multilayered structures, and partitioning methods for fluid-plate interactions. Her research bridges mathematical rigor with engineering applications, addressing challenges in biomedical and aerospace systems.
