Pejman Mirza-Babaei

Dr. Pejman Mirza-Babaei is a Full Professor of User Experience (UX) Research and Associate Dean at the School of Graduate & Post-doctoral Studies at Ontario Tech University. His research focuses on games UX, human-computer interaction, and user-centered design, with emphasis on accessibility and healthcare applications. He has authored over 50 peer-reviewed articles and books including *The Game Designer's Playbook* (2022) and co-edited *Games User Research* (2018). His industry experience includes roles at Execution Labs (2015–2017) and Player Research (2009–2013), contributing to UX evaluations for over 30 commercial games.

Education: PhD in Computer Science from the University of Sussex, UK. Awards include the 2018 Deborah Saucier Early Researcher Award and FBIT Research Excellence Award. His work bridges academic research and industry practice, addressing complex interaction design challenges in games and interactive systems.
