Dr. Pei-yu Sharon Chen is the Red Avenue Foundation Professor and Chair of the Department of Information Systems at Arizona State University (ASU), part of the W. P. Carey School of Business. She is also the founding director of the Center for AI and Data Analytics (AIDA) for Business and Society. Her research focuses on strategic interactions between information technology and business, particularly leveraging AI and data analytics to drive value and promote societal welfare. Dr. Chen holds a PhD from the Wharton School of Business (2002) and has prior faculty experience at Carnegie Mellon University and Temple University.
