Pei-Chun Ho

Pei-Chun Ho is a Professor in the Department of Physics within the College of Science and Mathematics at California State University, Fresno. She teaches PHYS 2A (General Physics), PHYS 4A (Mechanics and Wave Motion), and PHYS 102 (Modern Physics), with office hours held in McLane Hall rooms 255 and 162.

Dr. Ho's research centers on advanced materials for energy conservation, specializing in unconventional superconductivity through superconductivity-magnetism interplay and quantum critical behavior. Her work also investigates reduced-dimensionality effects on rare earth elemental nano-cluster magnetism using high magnetic field and low-temperature characterization techniques.

She leads the Strongly Correlated Electron Laboratory where physical properties are analyzed via electrical resistivity, AC magnetic susceptibility, specific heat, thermopower, and thermal conductivity measurements. The lab emphasizes undergraduate training in instrumentation design, LabView programming, data analysis, and synthesis of bulk/nano rare earth materials.
