Pedro Santos Pinto Gamito

Pedro Santos Pinto Gamito is a Full Professor at University Lusófona, where he serves as Head of Programme of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master CYBER and director of the HEI-Lab Digital Human-Environment Interaction Lab. He earned his PhD in Built and Human Environment from the University of Salford (UK) in 2002 and the title of Aggregate in Rehabilitation from the University of Lisbon in 2012.

Research Interests: Pedro specializes in developing virtual reality applications for cognitive rehabilitation in patients with anxiety disorders, stroke, traumatic brain injury, and substance use disorders. His work integrates mHealth technologies and focuses on cognitive assessment using VR and eye-tracking methodologies.

Scientific Contributions: He has authored over 70 peer-reviewed publications and led projects funded by Horizon Europe and other institutions. His VR tools are deployed in major Portuguese hospitals and 10+ international institutions.
