Pedro José Tauler Riera

Pedro José Tauler Riera serves as Full Professor and current Director of the Department of Fundamental Biology and Health Sciences at the University of the Balearic Islands. He teaches across Biochemistry, Nursing, and Pharmacy undergraduate programs as well as Master's degrees in Physical Activity Research and Biomedical Research.

He earned his Bachelor of Science (Chemistry Section) and Biochemistry followed by a PhD in Biochemistry, all from the University of the Balearic Islands. His research centers on exercise-induced inflammatory responses with broad applications in nutrition and health sciences.

As Principal Investigator of the Evidence, Lifestyles and Health (EVES) research group, he leads studies examining nutritional biochemistry and physiological adaptations. His specialized expertise includes food biochemistry, vitamin metabolism, and exercise physiology. He also contributes to the Cell Therapy and Tissue Engineering (TERCIT) laboratory research group.
