Pedro Amorim

Pedro Amorim is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management at the University of Porto's Faculty of Engineering (FEUP), and Head of the Research Center for Industrial Engineering and Management at INESC TEC. He holds a Master's and Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering and Management from FEUP. His research focuses on supply chain planning, operations research, and logistics optimization, with an emphasis on food and textile industries. He co-founded LTPlabs, a consultancy firm applying analytical methods to complex decision-making.

His research interests span inventory management under climate risks, textile supply chain models, vehicle routing with synchronization and autonomous systems, and customer-centric delivery strategies. Amorim has advised multiple theses on supply chain resilience, landed cost predictions, and process optimization in logistics.

He previously worked as a Supply Chain Analyst at Total Raffinage Marketing and has consulted on operations management projects. His work bridges academic research and industry challenges, addressing sustainability and efficiency in global supply chains.
