Paweł Kamiński

Prof. Paweł Kamiński is an Assistant Professor at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music (FCAM), where he has worked since 1983. He specializes in piano performance, musicology, and editorial work on Frédéric Chopin's compositions. His roles include co-editor of the National Edition of Chopin's Complete Works since 1984 and Chairman of its Foundation since 1998.

Education:

• Studied piano at the Józef Elsner Music School (1973–1978) under Aleksandra Sosnowska
• Computer Science at the University of Warsaw
• Advanced piano studies at FCAM (1978–1983) under Prof. Jan Ekier and Assoc. Prof. Alicja Paleta-Bugaj, graduating with honours

Research & Pedagogy: Focuses on critical editions of musical scores, their application in performance practice, and innovative piano pedagogy emphasizing creative interpretation. His work bridges historical scholarship and artistic expression, with lectures across Europe, America, and Asia.
