Dr. hab. Paweł Wakarecy serves as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Piano, Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz. An internationally acclaimed concert pianist, he maintains an active performance schedule across five continents with appearances in prestigious venues including London's Cadogan Hall, Paris's Salle Cortot, and Tokyo's Oji Hall. His collaborations span major orchestras such as the National Philharmonic Orchestra and Sinfonia Varsovia under conductors including Antoni Wit and Agnieszka Duczmal.
Wakarecy's educational foundation was built through nine years of study under Professor Ewa Skarżewska at Toruń's Karol Szymanowski Secondary Music School, followed by distinguished graduation from the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music under Professor Katarzyna Popowa-Zydroń.
His artistic specialization centers on virtuosic piano performance with deep expertise in Polish classical repertoire, particularly the works of Chopin, Paderewski, and Zarębski. He actively explores historical performance practices and chamber music interpretation, notably through the Wakarecy Piano Duo formed with his wife Aleksandra Soboń-Wakarecy. His research extends to the reconstruction of historical performance editions, evidenced by his 2015 premiere of Edward Elgar's Piano Quintet in Agnieszka Duczmal's chamber orchestra adaptation.
His major accolades include:
- Special Prize at International Ignacy Jan Paderewski Piano Competition in Bydgoszcz (2007)
- Finalist at International Fryderyk Chopin Competition in Darmstadt (2009)

His current artistic trajectory involves expanding his international touring circuit while developing new chamber music projects, including collaborations with cellist Marcin Zdunik and continued work with the Polish Radio Chamber Orchestra "Amadeus".
