Pavlos Kollias

Pavlos Kollias is a Professor at Stony Brook University's School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences with a joint appointment at Brookhaven National Laboratory. His research examines cloud microphysics, precipitation dynamics, and radar technology applications. A pioneer in millimeter-wavelength radar research, he develops observational systems for cloud-scale atmospheric processes and employs machine learning for large dataset analysis. His honors include the AGU Ascent Award and Humboldt Fellowship.
