Paulo Vasconcelos serves as a full-time Associate Professor at Porto Accounting and Business School (Polytechnic Institute of Porto) since 1990, where he coordinates the Scientific Field of Law and participates in the Technical-Scientific Board. Concurrently, he maintains an active freelance legal practice specializing in Private/Civil, Business, Corporate, and Tax Law since 1992.
His academic foundation includes:
- Bachelor of Law from the Faculty of Law of the Catholic University of Portugal
- Master of Legal-Corporate Sciences from the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra
- PhD in Law from the University of Vigo, Spain
Professor Vasconcelos' expertise converges at the intersection of corporate legal frameworks and commercial practice. His research examines how Private Law principles interact with Business and Tax Law within Portugal's regulatory environment, with particular attention to corporate governance structures. This focus directly informs both his academic publications and professional legal work.
He has authored two books and multiple academic papers while extending his knowledge through specialized lectures at the Catholic University of Portugal, EGP – Porto Business School, and professional institutions including the Portuguese Bar Association.
