Paulo Henrique Silva Pelicioni

Dr. Paulo Henrique Silva Pelicioni is a leading researcher in neurorehabilitation and aging, affiliated with UNSW Sydney's School of Physiotherapy. His work focuses on preventing falls in neurological disorders, particularly Parkinson's disease, and developing telehealth tools for neurorehabilitation. He has held grants including a 2022 Michael J Fox Foundation grant (USD 373,076) studying Parkinson's in Māori and Pacific communities. His research integrates FNIRS (functional near-infrared spectroscopy) to study cortical activity during gait and balance tasks. Pelicioni holds a PhD in Public Health and has authored over 40 journal articles, with a focus on telehealth applications, Parkinson's subtypes, and exercise interventions for older adults.
