Pauline Rebouillat is a Postdoctoral Fellow in Epidemiology at Lund University's Faculty of Medicine, affiliated with EpiHealth: Epidemiology for Health and the Epidemiology and Population Studies (EPI@Lund) research group. She is actively involved in the Agenda 2030 Project "Nature-Based Solutions at the Health-Biodiversity-Climate Change Nexus" led by Henrik G Smith, as well as other significant research initiatives including the Nature-based Solutions at the Climate-Biodiversity-Health Nexus project and the FORMAS OLE project on Sustainable Outdoor Living Environments.
Her research expertise spans nutritional epidemiology, environmental epidemiology, diet sustainability, living environments, and non-communicable diseases. Her work significantly contributes to multiple UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly those related to health, sustainability, and biodiversity. Her research fingerprint shows strong connections to food science (100%), diet (92%), organic food (84%), pesticide residue (55%), and other related areas.
Analysis of her recent publications reveals a consistent focus on the intersection of environmental exposures, dietary patterns, and health outcomes. Her work primarily utilizes large cohort studies like the NutriNet-Santé cohort and Swedish population data to investigate how pesticide exposure in food, outdoor living environments, and dietary patterns affect chronic disease development, including cardiovascular diseases, type 2 diabetes, breast cancer, and body weight trajectories.
Dr. Rebouillat has been actively involved in academic dissemination through conference presentations and panel discussions, including the 16th European Public Health Conference and a panel discussion on nature-based solutions. She has also supervised summer projects, demonstrating her role in mentoring the next generation of researchers.
