Dr. Pauline Prevett is a Senior Lecturer at the Manchester Institute of Education, University of Manchester. She serves as Programme Director for the MSc Research Methods, covering pathways in education, human geography, international development, and planning. As SEED Associate Director in Research Methods, she leads doctoral training initiatives. Her work focuses on financial literacy, special educational needs, and methodological innovation in mixed-methods research.

Research Interests: Pauline’s research bridges disciplines, emphasizing financial literacy self-efficacy among millennials, special educational needs (e.g., visual impairments, Down’s syndrome), and STEM subject choices. Methodologically, she pioneers techniques like cluster analysis of qualitative data and concept map-based interviews. Her work aligns with UN SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 5 (Gender Equality).
Teaching & Grants: She teaches NVivo courses for methods@manchester and oversees £1.2M in grants, including projects on financial literacy and inclusion. Current PhD supervision spans dementia caregiving, children’s human rights understanding, and Chinese shadow education.
