Pauline Lipman is a Professor of Educational Policy Studies and Director of the Collaborative for Equity and Justice in Education at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Her work critically examines the intersections of race, class, and neoliberal urban policies, with a focus on how education systems perpetuate inequality. She holds a PhD from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and has authored seminal books including The New Political Economy of Urban Education and High Stakes Education.
